The Phoenix Business Journal is reporting that Taiwan’s DaYung’s Tea is opening its first store in North America at a shopping center in Tempe.
The Taiwan-based company has leased 1,400 square feet at the Mill Plaza shopping center in Tempe at Mill and Southern avenues.
DaYung has 270 stores throughout Asia. The Tempe location is the first on this side of the Pacific Ocean.
DaYung sells fruit tea and smoothie drinks.
“We are very excited to have represented DaYung’s for their first store in the North America. This hot new concept will blend in perfectly with the other new restaurants at Mill Plaza,” said Butterworth and Guardado in a statement.
“It will also be able to serve the huge Asian customer base, as well as the ASU student population,” they concluded.
The shopping center is anchored by a Fry’s Food & Drug Store. More than 61,600 cars pass by the center each day.
