Shake Shack is opening its third installment in the Valley this week.
The famous New York burger joint will open at Kierland Commons, which sits on the border of Scottsdale and northeast Phoenix, on Sept. 15.
The newest location will be Arizona’s first standalone Shake Shack, with Kierland’s central plaza featuring a kiosk-style Shake Shack — an homage to its first openings in New York.
Shake Shack has opened two other locations in the Phoenix metro, with one in Scottsdale Fashion Square and its second at Uptown Plaza in midtown Phoenix.
CEO Randy Garutti said the restaurant has no plans to open additional Arizona locations just yet.
