World of Beer is closing its Arizona locations as the company that owns it is shifting its focus more to food.
The Florida-based concept will close its locations in Tucson, Tempe and Gilbert, according to The Arizona Daily Star. All three locations opened in late 2013.
Terry Haley, World of Beer’s corporate vice president of marketing, told theDaily Star the concept’s mission is evolving to focus more on cuisine, and the size of the three Arizona locations — which have a relative size of 3,000 square feet — couldn’t adapt to the adjustments.
The announcement comes after the 9-year-old company shuttered eight other locations across the country.
The franchisees of the Arizona locations are currently in talks with another beer-centric concept to take over the spaces.
No date has been specified for the closure of the locations.
World of Beer has 75 locations around the country and one in Shanghai, China.
