WaBa Grill is opening a second Arizona location.
The Southern California eatery is opening in north Phoenix at 16635 N. Tatum Blvd. off Tatum and East Kelton Lane, no later than June 11.
The restaurant focuses on healthy rice bowls and is similar to concepts such as Yogi’s Grill and Kyoto Bowl.
“WaBa Grill has been opening a new store almost every other week in Southern California since 2014,” Bryan Kim, operations manager, said in a statement. “Our food is delicious and our customers keep coming back. Customers often ask if we’re going to open a store near them and now locals who work or live near TCP Scottsdale can enjoy our food without driving/flying out to California.”
WaBa Grill has one Arizona location in Avondale. Representatives said the company is hoping to open additional Valley locations but did not say when or where they would open.
The concept was founded in 2006 and has more than 130 locations.
