A new a build-your-own ice cream sandwich shop is opening in Scottsdale.
The grand opening celebration will take place at The Baked Bear located just east of Scottsdale Road on Shea Boulevard in the Village at Shea, 7366 E. Shea Boulevard, Suite 106.
The Baked Bear will celebrate the opening of its first Arizona location by giving away free ice cream sandwiches from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 28.
It will be the eighth location of the San Diego-based ice cream sandwich shop, and the first located outside California. The original location opened in Pacific Beach in 2013.
Ice cream lovers can look forward to customizable ice cream sandwiches when the shop opens this spring. The menu includes more than a dozen ice cream flavors as well as more than a dozen types of cookies, including options such as regular and gluten-free chocolate chip, red velvet, cookies and cream, snicker doodle, funfetti, and white chocolate macadamia nut. You’ll also be able to top off your ice cream sandwich with hot fudge, caramel, and other toppings — or forgo the cookies altogether in favor of ice cream sandwiches made with brownies or doughnuts.
You can view the complete menu on The Baked Bear website.
