Earnest, the chef-driven, casual-dining restaurant in Chandler, will close on Wednesday, March 30.
The restaurant is run by pastry chef and restaurateur Danielle Morris, who opened Earnest with executive chef Brian Peterson in July 2014, replacing the fine-dining concept Cork, which debuted in 2008.
“I’ll miss seeing our neighbors, regulars and friends,” Morris said in a written statement. “The entire community has been so wonderful to us over the past 11 years between Cork and Earnest, thank you all so much.”
Featuring dinner and happy hour, the menu showcases dishes like smoky Cheddar barbecue burger, vegetarian ribbon pasta, chicken liver and bacon country pate, and the popular banana cream pie from Cork.
Morris would not further comment on the closure. Diners can make reservations through March 30.
