Welcome 1000 Degrees Pizza to the Scottsdale 101 shopping center, the first Arizona location for the Galloway, N.J., company. It joins the ranks of Fired Pie, Mod Pizza, Pizza Me, Pizza Rev and other fast-casual, build-your-own pizza joints in metro Phoenix.
Personalized, made-to-order Neapolitan-style pizza made with fresh, hand-tossed dough crafted from “00” flour into 10-inch ($7.95) and 14-inch ($14.95) sizes.
- You can choose a combo, perhaps a Meatza with meatballs, hot or sweet Italian sausage, bacon, pepperoni and mozzarella. Or a Philly, with thin-sliced rib eye, caramelized onions, balsamic glaze, mozzarella and provolone.
- You can build your own pizza, from more than 50 cheeses, sauces, meats, vegetables and other toppings.
How they’re made
Pizzas are then fired at 1000 degrees in a revolving-bottom brick oven, finishing in two minutes. Don’t expect authentic Neapolitan finesse — the traditional certified Italian pizza boasts a signature, slightly soft center, while the 1000 Degrees model is crispy throughout.
More locations on the way
Operated as a franchise by Randy and Ban Kassab of Capital Pizza Ventures, this is the just the first slice of the pie, since the group plans to develop three more Valley stores, with the next slated to open in Gilbert this spring.
Founded in 2014, 1000 Degrees is a fast-growing concept with nearly a dozen domestic restaurants and one international location in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A mega expansion is planned through 2017.
