The newest Postino Wine Cafe opens on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Kierland Commons, making it the fifth Valley location and sixth overall.
Upward Projects opened the first Postino in Arcadia in 2001. The popular restaurant and wine bar is known for its wine list, tasty bruschetta boards and lively atmosphere. Another major draw is the bar’s Monday and Tuesday night special: $20 for a bruschetta board and bottle of wine.
The newest location is on the west side of the Kierland property in northeast Phoenix, and is the first two-story Postino. The space features garage doors and sliding glass walls to easily transform it into an indoor-outdoor venue. Decor will include limited-edition skateboard decks, vintage “Playboy” pages and “Space Invader” symbols, as well as a steel installation by a local artist.
The menu will include Postino favorites such as the Pub Board, featuring MJ Bread pretzels and Schreiner’s chorizo, as well as a selection of salads and panini. Of course, the restaurant’s well-loved bruschetta boards will be available with topping combinations including tomato, mozzarella, and basil; smoked salmon and pesto; white bean and chopped tomato; and prosciutto with fig and mascarpone.
